Program Overview

ISA is a Marriage Coach Certification Program, a transformative three-month hybrid course designed to equip married couples with the knowledge, skills, and tools to champion the institution of marriage. Rooted in the belief that marriage is the foundation of well-being and a cornerstone of family mental health, this program empowers couples to become advocates for stronger, healthier, and more resilient relationships within their communities.

  • 2-Day Imperative Couples’ Workshop & Retreat
  • Held at the luxurious Shangri-La Boracay, this kickoff event includes:
  • A renewal of vows ceremony
  • A mix of inspiring workshops, bonding activities, and reflective exercises
  • 1 night of accommodation at Hennan Prime Beach Resort
  • Breakfast for 2, lunch, snacks, and a curated dinner experience

Hybrid Learning Structure

  • Weekly Live Classes: Expert-led sessions focusing on marriage dynamics, communication, and relationship management.
  • Consultations: Personalized guidance from certified marriage coaching professionals.
  • Practicum: Hands-on application of coaching strategies in real-life scenarios.
  • Certification Exam: Culminates the course, assessing readiness to serve as Marriage Coaches.

The Retreat / Workshop

This 2-day workshop and retreat is designed to provide couples with practical insights and strategies for cultivating a purposeful and disciplined marriage. Through engaging sessions, discussions, and activities, couples will learn to strengthen their relationships intentionally and create a satisfying marriage that will last a lifetime.

Dr. Vincent Don P. Fortune

Dr. Brenda Valenzuela-Fortune, PhD, LMHC, LMFT

Dr. Vincent Don P. Fortune is a certified Mental Health Life Coach and Marriage and Family Life Coach, credentialed by the Board of Mental Health Coaching and the Board of Christian Life Coaching. He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership Ministry and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership with an emphasis on Counseling Leadership, both earned from Faith International University (FIU) in Tacoma, Washington, USA.

With over 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a cytotechnologist, followed by 16 years in civilian practice at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington, Dr. Fortune brings a wealth of experience in leadership and caregiving. Now fully retired, he dedicates his time to ministry and coaching, focusing on empowering adult men through speaking engagements, leading men’s groups, and holding seminars.

Together with his wife, Brenda, Dr. Fortune leads “Fish and Loaves,” a ministry serving the Filipino-American community, and they recently founded I.S.A. Life and Relationship Consulting, LLC, to expand their reach in life and relationship coaching. Passionate about promoting healthy relationships through a healthy mindset, Dr. Don helps individuals uncover their unique identity, embrace self-leadership, and transform their relationships, particularly in marriage.

Married for 32 years, Dr. Don and Brenda are proud parents of three grown daughters. In his downtime, he enjoys morning walks, breakfast talks with Brenda, perfecting his cooking skills, reading, and indulging his love for all things Batman. His life’s work is rooted in the belief that a healthy mindset lays the foundation for thriving relationships and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Brenda Valenzuela-Fortune is a licensed expert in both mental health and relationships, holding dual professional licenses in the State of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). With a Master of Arts in Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy) from Chapman University and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University, Dr. Fortune is a recognized authority in the fields of marriage counseling and coaching. While at Regent, she trained under the esteemed Dr. Gary V. Collins, a celebrated clinical psychologist, educator, and prolific author on counseling and coaching, further solidifying her foundation as a trusted relationship expert.

Dr. Fortune has over two decades of experience working with diverse populations across various settings, including community mental health centers, schools, colleges, government agencies, private practices, and faith-based organizations. She specializes in marriage enrichment, conflict resolution, parenting, and relational well-being, offering practical tools and strategies to strengthen bonds and foster lasting emotional connections.

A dynamic speaker and presenter, Dr. Fortune has developed and led numerous workshops and seminars on topics such as marriage and relationship enrichment, mood disorders, parenting, and self-improvement. Her expertise is also evident in her published works, contributing insightful articles to journals and magazines. Currently, she practices privately at the Peninsula Psychological Center in Silverdale, WA, and serves as the co-founder of I.S.A. Life and Relationship Consulting, LLC, alongside her husband, Dr. Don Fortune. Together, they offer personalized coaching and consulting to help couples and families thrive.

Beyond her professional practice, Dr. Fortune is deeply engaged in ministry work. She leads Women At The Well (WaW), a support group for Filipino-American women, and co-leads Fish and Loaves Family Ministries, a community outreach initiative for Filipino-American families. Her passion lies in equipping individuals and couples with the tools to achieve emotional wholeness and cultivate healthy, fulfilling relationships.

A devoted wife and mother, Dr. Fortune has been married for 33 years and is the proud mom of three grown daughters. She enjoys reading, journaling, playing the guitar, writing, and taking long road trips with her husband. Her life’s mission is to help individuals and families heal, grow, and build relationships rooted in mutual respect, love, and understanding.
